Bespoke Process

A Guide to the Bespoke process

Initial Box Discussions

It is certainly useful if you have a clear idea of what you want and can either sketch or explain it to us. We can either have a telephone conversation or use social media to converse (Messenger) or email, whichever you prefer, and are available evenings and early mornings for international clients.  We will ask you about your box aspirations in detail, including how you wish to personalise your box in terms of

  • size
  • style
  • hardware
  • woods/veneer type

We can provide you with samples as well as images of boxes we have created to help clarify ideas further.

Visualise your Box prior to creation

Photo realistic renders

Once we fully understand your requirements we can present you with a Photo realistic renders to help you visualize how the final piece will look.  At this stage it is easy to change and rearrange box elements and once the design has been agreed we can provide you with a quotation and expected delivery date. Payment arrangements are flexible.

Box Creation

Boxes generally take six to twelve weeks to complete depending on current orders, once the drawings have been approved.

We keep you up to date with box developments by sending digital images of your handmade box with supporting text via email. You can also contact us at any time to ask about progress.

Wrapped up in Branded Packaging

After receiving the final balance, we will wrap your box in our branded packaging and arrange delivery using an appropriate postal service.  This would be either Special Next Day (UK) or carriers such as TNT and DHL (further afield).  If you have a preferred courier please let us know.  Whenever possible, we will personally hand deliver your bespoke box within Northern Ireland.  We always endeavour to keep to a date especially if it is very special such as a wedding gift or birthday gift, a retirement gift or another special occasion.  We look forward to working with you.

Best Regards – Ian Hawthorne
