The Native Yew jewellery boxes shown above have been created with the following features:

• The external dimensions of 300x200x100mm.  These dimensions can be altered to suit your own requirements.

• A lift out tray.  The standard layout is for the tray to be split in the middle with a ring run down one side, as shown in the Yew Box above lined in red suede. (The tray sits on steps allowing space underneath for more jewellery).  Alterations to the tray can include adding or removing compartments, and/or ring runs and/or earring compartments. You may also wish to consider having more than one tray or if it's to be used as a Keepsake Box perhaps no tray at all.  The tray itself is created from a different wood such as Sycamore or Blackwood.  The tray can also either sit flush with the rest of the base (see boxes with green and brown lining), or sit slightly raised to allow more space underneath the tray (see box with rich red lining).

• The hardware.  The box is created using either nickel plated or brass quadrant hinges which have a 95 degrees stop enabling the box lid to remain open without any support. It can also be fitted with either a button catch or a lock and key.

• The interior can be lined with a emerald green suede, and a lift out tray lined with the same luxurious material.  The tray can either be base lined only, or fully lined to include all the sides.   It can also be finished in a rich red, or red wine suede, royal blue suede, baby blue, baby pink, or mulberry suede as shown above.  If there is a particular colour your are interested in please let us know and we will try to obtain it.

• The box lid banding.  The standard banding is created from our own black and sycamore veneer that goes all around the lid top (as shown in the images above).  We can provide samples of other bandings on request.

• Box Finish.  We provide a Danish Oil finish as standard (see images above) or for the ultimate finish we can offer a traditional French Polish.

• Escutcheon.  If you choose a lock for your box, the area surrounding the key hole is decorated with a cover plate/escutcheon.  The escutcheon can either be created from a choice of wood which sits proud, or from a choice of veneer which is inlaid.

• Personalisation.  A Certificate of Authenticity comes with each Jewelry Box and can be personalised with about 25 words.  A small brass or silver coloured plaque can be added to the inside lid or the box base with a name, initials or other personal text on request for an additional fee.

Since wood is a natural resource, minor colour variations occur in all boxes, making each one unique.

Box Care
To ensure optimum pleasure from your Jewellery Box please clean with a soft dry cloth.  If the exterior surface dulls gradually over time an application of natural wax, that is then buffed with a soft dry cloth, should be sufficient to bring back the sheen.
